Breast Cancer Charity Kit

Hi everyone, I was honored to work on a collaboration kit at Pretty Scrappy where all proceeds will go towards breast cancer research. I wanted to share the link with you, in case you'd like to go pick it up for a good cause. After a fun day at the zoo yesterday, we're socked in with a cold, winter rain storm this weekend. In like a lion seems very appropriate...

Challenges, Decisions, Patience & Silliness

Sorry, link has expired.

Today's title sums up this week for me! I've come to the conclusion that to make my digital designs a viable business, I am going to have to get into a store or two to gain some exposure. A website for my cards is still in the works, unless I can really make something of this design thing, and then I'll just focus on that. To that end, I entered two designer "contests" and am applying at another store this month. ScrapMatters started a contest this week, and I have created my favorite kit EVER this week for them. I can't wait to share it with you, loyal readers, but the rules state I can't yet. But it is definitely a freebie coming soon. Inspiration Lane contest starts next week. We're still waiting on the short sale house we put a bid on 6 weeks ago, thus the patience. And silliness, because my kids are the cutest things on the planet. They spent 30 minutes wiggling and falling down and laughing to this silly Icelandic show, LazyTown. I couldn't stop laughing at them. I finished my mini-kit for the contest early, and got to do a layout for my son. Since I already made the template, I thought I'd share and start a new line of regular templates for you. Enjoy, and thanks so much for the lovely comments, they made my WEEK.

Oooh, yah, another Freebie template!

Sorry, link has expired.

Good afternoon, everyone. I've got some serious cabin fever this week, and cannot wait until the warmer weather arrives. Toddlers need space to run, and mommies need to sit in the sunshine without Diego in the background. So, I decided to put some spring touches on this week's fun 365 layout. Enjoy, dear friends. And please, leave a little love if you pick it up, it really motivates me to keep making new freebies.

It's Freebie Time...

Sorry, this link has expired.

I'm in love with today's freebie template, which was so much easier to make digitally than the paper version I made last year! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I created it from one of my paper layouts, which I scraplifted from one of Kelly Purkey's layouts. I'm also proud to introduce some of the papers/elements from my soon-to-be-available kit, The Princess. What do you think?

Cyber Hugs & Thank Yous

I'm so excited, one of my templates just went over 1,000 downloads! Wow, that makes me so happy. I got a sweet surprise in my comments today by Jeanette over at Jeanette's Pages, who passed on an award to me today and left me some love. To those of us that blog, we know how excited we are to read comments, and it warmed my heart today to read hers. Go check out some of the amazing cards she makes over there! The rules are that you have to link back to the person who nominated you... that's the easy part..... pass the award onto 7 other blogs that give you inspiration and link to them too. I hate to make more work for everyone, but I did want to give a shout out to my favorite blogs to date. Check out their beautiful work!

I'm a QP convert...

Today, I sat watching my 19-month-old say dog-dog and itty-at while we were reading and thought, "I really need to scrapbook these first words while I remember them". Now, in the olden days (aka traditional scrapbooking), I'd have kept thinking about it because I had no time to put it all together. Tonight, I took 30 minutes, an awesome Katie Pertiet QuickPage and told her story with some favorite recent photos. I feel so accomplished, which is saying something because I vegged out in front of American Idol most of the night. (I am completely and utterly addicted to this show, so I'm sure you'll be hearing more about it in the coming months). Tonight, I liked Danny and the girl with the pink hair the best. What about you? Take a look at the background paper and the paper I used in the heart shape...they are preview of The Princess kit that is almost finished, just a few more elements to go. Have a great night!

My 1st Alpha Freebie!

Sorry, but this download has expired. This great alpha is in The Princess Kit, on sale for $2.00.

Happy Scrappy Day to you! I'm drowning in tissues and infant Tylenol right now, so I'm happy to have even a little creative time to myself. I thought I'd share a sneak peek into my newest kit, The Princess, with one of its alphas for free for a limited time only. I, personally, don't use a lot of alphas because I hate using the lasso and cutting and pasting, but I found a great action by Flergs that makes saving each letter as its own png much faster, so I finally tackled some alphas for this kit. Enjoy, and please leave me a little love...I need it amid the snotty noses and hacking coughs. :)

Freebie Template for Project 365

Sorry, link has expired.

Hey, Scrapland! Life is good in this neck of the woods, we spent most of the week outside enjoying 60 and 70 degree weather and I was able to shake off some of the winter blues. Now we're being forecast for snowshowers on Monday, can you believe it? I'll be so happy if those snow boots get to see some snow this year. My little girl wears them around the house all the time. Here is this week's template, and my own layout using it. I did have a difficult time this week, just got out of the habit I guess. This template does contain some metal tag frames I made that you're welcome to drag and use on your other personal projects. I'd love to see what you've done with my templates or papers, so if you get a minute, add your layout to my guestbook at the bottom of my blog. THANKS.

Scrapping with a side of Reality TV

I've been so busy designing that I've lost the time to scrap my own life, so I took some time, a good template and told one of our stories. It felt good, and I promised myself I'd do more of it. I've made some fun new cards, what do you think of this birthday card and Save the Date Card? And, I'm also starting on the next kit, aptly called the Princess (and the add-on freebie for you!). I haven't gotten too much done tonight though, as I've been sucked into the Bachelor. Gotta say, that all the girls he has left seem pretty solid. I hope there is a happy ending, must be the incurable romantic in me. :)

Project 365 Template 5 Freebie!

Sorry, link has expired.

Another week of fun photography, and I got some cool pictures this week. This turned out to be one of the few layouts that was harder to make in digi than in paper, but I think it was worth the effort. Below is my layout, which turned out pretty bold and exciting. Credits: MissMint:Tropical Popsicle (pink), K Cronin-Barrow: Love Story(brown), font: Impervious. ENJOY!

Valentine's Freebie

Link has expired, but I have tons of cards for sale at my etsy store.

A giant Thank-You to my friend, Courtney, who came up with this great idea to make homemade Valentine's cards for our sons to pass out in school. This design is based almost entirely on her design, but with commercial friendly products, and I think you'll agree it's adorable. It is a PSD file, and I left the photo mask, and the wording separated so you can customize to your own needs. I'm just going to print mine out on some card stock, tape a lollipop to it, and Bam I've got one-of-a-kind cards. Courtney put a cute photo of her sons wearing heart-shaped sunglasses that was adorable! ENJOY.

Email subscribers update

To my loyal subscribers who took the time to subscribe to my blog, I did indeed mess up and accidentally deleted the emails when I moved the account over to google. I'm so very sorry, and if you run across this post, please take another minute to sign up again. I really do appreciate your support and patience with my less-than-techie abilities. :)

Template Freebie Repost

Sorry, link has expired.

Hey! DigiFree hasn't had me listed yet, and I think it may be because I accidentally put that password in there and it probably couldn't get to it, so I'm going to repost in hopes that I can get on there tomorrow. I apologize to my subscribers who will have to read this again. :)

On a positive note, Finn made it through the surgery with flying colors and the children's hospital was great. We met a little 5 year-old girl and her family that were waiting for surgery with us. She was going to have open-heart surgery to correct a hole in her heart. Nothing puts life in perspective faster than walking in someone else's shoes.

Have a relaxing weekend!

A quick subscription check

I'm having some technical difficulty moving my feedburner account over to google, and I may have lost my email subscriptions. :( So, I'm just putting a new post out here so I can see if that is indeed true. If so, I will let you know that you need to sign up again. :) (sigh) This technical stuff will get the best of me one day...

My Official Unofficial CT (creative team)...

consists of my close friend, Courtney, without whom I would never have taken a Jessica Sprague class and crossed over to the Digi Dark Side. She saves me in many ways, and getting me back into scrapbooking the digital way has increased my productivity 1000 times over and I'll save more of these precious memories for my family. Thanks, Court, for all you do for me! She has also graciously agreed to be my CT right now, taking my 1st kit and making these great pages. She's very talented, as you can see, and I'm thrilled with how great my kit turned out in her capable hands. Hopefully, as I fill up my store with new goodies, I'll find some more talented people that would like to help me get the Sweet Tomato word out, but for now I couldn't ask for more.
